Preferred Experience

Experience in avionics or embedded systems engineering

Proven expertise in UAV avionics system architecture and integration

Strong background in certification processes (DO-254, DO-160, DGCA CS-UAS)

Experience in redundancy, failsafe strategies, and safety analyses (FMECA, FTA)

Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with aerospace quality frameworks (AS9100D, MIL-STD)

Required Skill Sets & Tools
  • Electrical CAD: AutoCAD Electrical
  • Simulation: MATLAB / Simulink
  • Systems: Strong experience with avionics integration and architecture
  • Documentation Tools: MS Office
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Aerospace Engineering

Key Responsibility Areas
  • Avionics Architecture & Design
    • Define avionics system architecture across UAV platforms (multirotor, fixed-wing, VTOL)
    • Select and validate Flight Control System (FCS) hardware
    • Optimize SWaP-C (Size, Weight, Power, Cost) for mission readiness
  • Reliability & Safety
    • Design redundancy and failsafe strategies for critical avionics systems
    • Perform safety analyses (FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis)
    • Ensure system robustness and fault tolerance
  • Compliance & Certification
    • Oversee compliance with DO-254 and DO-160 standards
    • Align systems with DGCA CS-UAS avionics requirements
    • Support certification audits and documentation readiness
  • EMI/EMC & Integration Strategy
    • Define EMI/EMC mitigation strategies (grounding, shielding, cable routing)
    • Lead integration reviews (PDR/CDR) and system-level sign-offs
  • Vendor & System Management
    • Lead vendor qualification and component selection processes
    • Drive cross-functional integration (aero, structures, controls, payloads)
    • Ensure interoperability across avionics subsystems
  • Compliance
    • Familiarity with DO-178C (software certification) and cybersecurity in avionics
  • Innovation
    • Exposure to advanced datalink protocols, secure communication, and digital twin integration
  • Reliability Engineering
    • Experience in survivability, redundancy, and lifecycle analysis of avionics systems
  • Leadership
    • Ability to mentor teams, manage vendor relationships, and lead system-level reviews
