Preferred Experience

Relevant experience in RF / wireless systems

Strong understanding of RF circuits, antennas, and communication system design

Experience with telemetry, video/data links, and environmental testing (ESS)

Familiarity with aerospace/UAV datalink integration workflows

Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with MIL-STD, DO-160, and aerospace communication standards

Innovation: Exposure to MIMO systems, adaptive modulation, and secure datalink protocols

Reliability Engineering: Experience in redundancy strategies and survivability under harsh conditions

Leadership: Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead RF design reviews

Required Skill Sets & Tools
  • RF Simulation: Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS, CST Studio Suite
  • Programming: Python
  • SDR Tools: GNU Radio
  • CAD Tools: SolidWorks / Siemens NX
Qualifications

Bachelor’s / Master’s in Electronics / Communication Engineering

Key Responsibility Areas
  • RF Hardware Integration
    • Perform RF hardware bring-up and verification at PCB level
    • Evaluate transceivers, amplifiers, and RF modules
    • Define embedded interfaces (UART, SPI, Ethernet)
  • Antenna & RF Performance
    • Conduct antenna tuning and impedance matching
    • Mitigate co-site interference and coupling effects
    • Validate link margin and RF performance across mission profiles
  • Testing & Validation
    • Execute ground RF tests and flight link validation campaigns
    • Troubleshoot telemetry, video, and data links
    • Ensure compatibility with environmental stress screening (ESS)
  • Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with RF vendors and suppliers for component evaluation
    • Work with avionics and systems teams for seamless integration
    • Provide design feedback for continuous performance improvement
