Strong academic projects or internships involving UAVs, sensors, or video/data streams

Basic understanding of:

  • Sensors and payload systems

  • Data/video streams

Required Skill Sets & Tools
  • Diagnostics: Wireshark (network and data stream analysis)
  • Video Tools: VLC Media Player, GStreamer (basic stream handling)
  • CAD: SolidWorks (basic modelling and mounting layouts)
  • Documentation: MS Office (SOPs, requirements traceability)
Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Electronics / Electrical / Aerospace Engineering

Key Responsibility Areas
  • Payload Evaluation & Integration Support
    • Scout and evaluate COTS payload vendors (cameras, sensors, modules)
    • Compile and compare spec sheets and technical datasheets
    • Perform bench testing and sensor calibration
    • Support payload integration and mounting activities
    • Build wiring harnesses and connectors for payload systems
    • Assist in subsystem-level integration checks
  • Diagnostics & Testing
    • Support basic video/data stream diagnostics using VLC Media Player, GStreamer
    • Conduct network diagnostics with Wireshark
  • Documentation & Inventory
    • Prepare SOPs and Requirements Traceability support documents
    • Manage hardware inventory and tracking
  • Exposure to UAV Operations
    • Familiarity with UAV mission profiles and payload deployment scenarios
  • Compliance Awareness
    • Basic knowledge of aerospace standards (DO-160, MIL-STD) for payload survivability

    • Interest in emerging payload technologies (EO/IR sensors, LiDAR, hyperspectral cameras)
