Preferred Experience

Relevant experience in systems engineering, preferably in Aerospace/UAS domains

Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles and lifecycle (V-Model awareness preferred)

Familiarity with requirements management and traceability concepts

Exposure to SWaP (Size, Weight, Power, Cost) considerations and system constraints

Experience in reliability engineering and system integration

Strong communication and documentation skills

Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment

Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with AS9100D, DO-178C, DO-254, and aerospace certification frameworks

Innovation: Exposure to MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering), SysML/UML, and digital twin approaches

Leadership: Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead subsystem design reviews

Continuous Improvement: Experience in process optimization and systems engineering best practices

Required Skill Sets & Tools
  • Modeling & Simulation: MATLAB / Simulink / Simscape
  • MBSE Tools: Cameo, System Composer
  • Collaboration Tools: JIRA, Confluence
  • Requirements Management: DOORS, JAMA, Teamcenter
  • Reliability Tools: FMEA, FTA execution
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle (V-model)
  • Ability to work independently and manage subsystem-level deliverables
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace / Electronics / Mechanical / Systems or related field)

Master’s degree or INCOSE certification preferred

  • Requirements & Specifications
    • Develop sub-system specifications and ensure alignment with system requirements
    • Ensure requirements traceability using IBM DOORS
  • Interfaces & Documentation
    • Lead interface definition and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
    • Ensure proper configuration management and document control
  • Reliability & Risk Management
    • Perform FMEA execution and reliability assessments
    • Conduct Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) for risk identification
  • Verification & Validation
    • Develop and execute Verification & Validation (V&V) plans
    • Support integration planning and coordinate with cross-functional teams
  • SWaP Management
    • Manage and track mass and power budgets (SWaP)
    • Contribute to trade studies and system-level decision-making
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, electronics, and software teams
    • Drive system-level integration and ensure compliance with aerospace standards
